Puppet is driving the movement to a world of unconstrained software change. Its revolutionary platform is the industry standard for automating the delivery and operation of the software that powers everything around us. More than 30,000 companies — including more than two thirds of the Fortune 100 — use Puppet’s open source and commercial solutions to adopt DevOps practices, achieve situational awareness and drive software change with confidence.
Their task in April was to gather senior IT managers within the finance sector, to discuss the issues within who should take ultimate responsibility over the security around DevOps implementation and uncover what the security teams’ positions should be in this new structure. Across the day, we deconstructed how IT organisations in the finance sector integrate security and compliance as an essential part of DevOps.
The Computing IT Leaders Forum brings together senior IT professionals who drive technology decisions within major UK enterprises. The Forum provides delegates with the opportunity to meet and mix with their peers, hear first-hand about key developments through real life case study presentations, and partake in debate on today’s major technology issues.
We work in close collaboration with Puppet to produce the most engaging and relevant content and title for the forum. We then took responsibility on all the production and marketing which came with running a bespoke event, from sourcing the venue, organising refreshments, ensuring all marketing both online and print was covered in addition to having a representative from Computing chairing the morning.
As well as having the event organised on behalf of Puppet, they gained a great amount of exposure both online and at the event. The Forum which had a turnout of 40 delegates on the day, was entirely tailored to Puppet and allowed them to catch the attention of this audience for the whole morning, without the added pressure of competition being present.
Having their partners QA Consulting join them also meant that they had effective case studies present. Computing also sourced an end user speaker who was more than happy to discuss the importance of the topic which, along with Computing research, provided strong evidence which backed Puppets messaging even further.
“The IT Leaders Forum we held with Computing was a great success. The level of delegate was high and we were able to reach people we wouldn’t normally have spoken to. The content and panel members were well-researched and relevant to the audience and the post-event editorial was received very well. The entire Computing team were super to work with – it went without a hitch.”
